What is a step and repeat backdrop and why is it called that?

A step and repeat backdrop is a display where logos or graphics are arranged in a repeating tiled pattern across the entire surface. The name comes from the design technique — logos are "stepped" diagonally and "repeated" across the backdrop so that no matter where someone stands in front of it, at least one full logo is always visible in the background of a photo. It's the standard format for red carpet events, press walls, and brand photo moments.

What is the difference between the four backdrop formats?

The telescopic stand is the most portable and affordable — adjustable frame, simple setup, ideal for smaller events and photo booths. The tension fabric tube backdrop stretches a pillowcase-style fabric over a snap-lock tube frame for a wrinkle-free, seamless surface — the trade show standard. The pop-up fabric backdrop opens like an umbrella in seconds — fastest setup, great for events where assembly time matters. The dimensional fabric wall creates depth and visual weight that flat backdrops can't match — premium events, award ceremonies, and flagship brand moments.

What file format do I need for my step and repeat artwork?

AI, PDF, EPS, or high-resolution PNG at 300 DPI minimum. Vector files are strongly preferred — especially for logos that will be tiled across a large format display. If you only have a low-resolution logo, our design team can rebuild it and build the full step and repeat layout from $85/hr. Most step and repeat layouts complete in 1–2 hours.

Can I include multiple logos on one backdrop?

Yes. Multi-logo step and repeat backdrops are common for sponsored events, co-branded activations, and award ceremonies where multiple partners need visibility. Our design team handles the logo tiling — balancing sizes, spacing, and visual hierarchy so every logo reads cleanly in photos.

How long does production take?

Standard production is 3–5 business days after artwork approval. Rush production may be available in 2–3 business days depending on current volume. Contact us with your event date before ordering to confirm your timeline is achievable.

What printing method is used on the fabric?

All fabric displays are printed using dye-sublimation — ink is bonded directly into the polyester fabric for vibrant, fade-resistant color that holds up across repeated setups. The result is significantly sharper and more color-accurate than vinyl banner printing, which matters when logos need to reproduce cleanly in professional photography.

Can you coordinate the backdrop with other booth or event displays?

Yes — and this is one of the most common ways clients work with us. Step and repeat backdrops, retractable banners, table covers, custom tents, branded apparel, and promotional merchandise ordered together as a single event build. One vendor, one invoice, one production timeline.

Do you ship nationwide?

Yes. All backdrop displays ship nationwide from our Orlando facility. Local pickup is also available at 7075 Kingspointe Parkway, Suite 17 — minutes from the Orange County Convention Center and the International Drive corridor.
